Sunday School

Sundays | 11 A.M.

The Sunday School of the India International Church, Portland consists of about 15 children and 2 teachers. Classes are held every Sunday, after the first part of the Worship Service. Each session begins with a time of sharing and singing, after which, the children move to their respective classes for lessons and activities.

Children have been divided into 2 groups based on their age and grade. The Primaries consist of students from grade 1-3 and the Middlers are students from grade 4-6. Occasionally, guest children join us for our Sunday School classes. The Youth of IIC also assist the teachers during classes.

We follow the Gospel Light Curriculum for Sunday School lessons throughout the year. These lessons explore stories and events from the Bible, and use engaging activity and take-home pages to guide children in applying what they have learned to their daily lives.

Our children take part in the service for special events by presenting songs, skits and programs in front of the congregation. Vacation Bible School classes are held in July and children from other churches attend also. The Sunday School classes break for the summer after VBS, and recommence for the next academic year in September.

...Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these... - Mark 10:14
